Solaire – Autoritratto EP
Here comes a brand new label from Alex Rubio, co-owner at Mexa and a big mover and shaker in the Mexican scene who, with his second label Cohesive, wants to try and bring through the next generation of talents.
Release number two comes from a group of three Italian producers who have been in the age since 2013. They offer up a trio of cuts that will drill right at the heart of the dance floor.
All three of the tracks come awash with a polished metal sheen, littered with green neon melodies and are spiritual offerings that will make for emotive dance floors when dropped. Waterworld is a broody bit of tech with chattery claps and bobbling bass, where next cut Tecnica is a more minimal, techno leaning affair with sparse sonic landscapes and Minus style drums that are bleak and abstract. Lastly, Autoritratto gets all melodic and colourful, with squared synth patterns and lots of lush layering making the tune a perfectly spiritual EP closer.
