‘Warung’ is the first single release, and the first taste of what Vidis has been cooking up for the past few months. An album ‘Silence Please!’ is set for a release very soon, but first we thought we would give you something to chew on until then.

“The name of the track goes after the famous Brazilian club, ‘Warung’. We played there at the end of June, 2012. The track was freshly made and we didn’t have a name for it. It worked so well on the main floor and on the huge sound system of this mega club that we played it two times and afterward decided to name the track ‘Warung’. Good dance floor tracks and good party memories go well together! “

‘Warung’ is an uneasy mix of sinister bass buzz and kick stomp. Various synth elements add to the malevolent ambience, and then the groove hits. A relaxing vibe washes over and mixes with the heavy bass, creating a conflict of interest that pushes the tension higher – and holds until the last drop.

Downtown Party Network’s remix operates on a smooth 4/4 groove, taking the wild bass, turning it down and letting it loose in the subterranean. The synth elements are used to great effect there, achieving quite a deep and dark atmosphere.

LOPAZZ & Casio Casino take their sound and rework the original into a deep and heavy ‘Beatdown Remix’, favouring a funky vibe and thick bass, while still managing to keep a dark corner in the mix. The addition of a low vocal keeps the pressure on and the tension thick.
