Italian producer Luca Donzelli steps up to the plate here for Mar-T’s WOW! Records with an EP that may just be their grooviest yet. Full of dancefloor gumption but restrained when it needs to be, this is a four-tracker that’s notable for its luscious house flavours and its undoubted attitude.

The title-track, the brilliantly named ”Your Dirty Sexy Morning”, is every bit as turbo-charged and relentless as you’d expect from a track with that title. Although we take a while for it to take flight, by the time it does it explodes in a brilliant kaleidoscope of colour. Epic stuff for fans of cultured tech-house. ”Pog Bounce” is no less soothing, and it too is full of crashing snares and off-kilter beats and sporadic muffled vocals.

The flip starts with ”Vision of the Move”, whereby Donzelli rips up the rule book and opts for a series of metallic, industrial facets. Dark and foreboding, it’s layered with a crust of pulverising emotion, meaning it moves with a moody attitude throughout. Expert fare – expect this one to proverbially slay the ‘floor. Lastly, ”Summerama” is another up-tempo cut, with its proficiency for carefully construed chords the sort of weapon that charcterises this EP.
