chus jodar aka jjfox – tinnitus
Tinnitus is a very fine track coming out of the careful hands of Chus Jodar aka JJFox, showcasing his high production skills.
Besides of always having had the groove he now, after a longer stay in Berlin, lifts this release in another league. Soon after the right-on start you drift into a sea of deep killer basslines playing alongside as if they were dancing with each other. Filtered voices take you on a tour to ‘get it, get your feet back on the ground’ surrounded by a gang of snares, drums, claps and hi hats. 80’s synths swing by, although the recording is super clean you can hear and feel the different dimensions. Breaking it up several times only means get into its addictive groove again, very deep and sensual.
The first of two remixes comes from Betoko, same speed but more direct in the first run due to a shorter kick, building up to a groove monster with twirled voices and even more effects taking you on a trip only he can provide. Made for prime time, this is a sure shot to rock the house.
Sierra Sam offers the second remix, a most deep kick hugged by an eagerly deep bassline getting overlayed by various rhythm elements, lots of ‘real’ batteries carried by harmonic dreamy melodies and synths, preparing a different but nevertheless irresistible version of the original. Perfect for a late beach set after the sun is down or any after after hour you want to blow away into music.
