BERMUDA . BERLIN MUSIC DAYS
BERMUDA – Berlin Music Days . Berlin . 31. October – 3. November 2012
The Berlin Music Days 2012: This is festival, showcases, parties, workshops, lectures, label nights, exhibitions and films. Guests and participants will have the opportunity to partake in the unique Berliner club scene and experience the national and international electronic music culture across four days and nights in the city. Conferences, discussions and Lectures by day. Concerts, DJs and live-acts by night. An intense journey through the big, wide world of electronic music. Where club culture and and the corresponding music are concerned, eyes and ears turn toward Berlin, and rightly so! Because no other city has seen such a multitudinous and creative flourish within this musical genre developing over the years. BerMuDa will be presenting this unparallelled diversity in a condensed form and an understanding of its influence and enormous potential.
BerMuDay connects and stimulates an exchange between creative people about club life, label events, the booking business, tech-news and of course, the music itself. The BerMuDa Lab at Kater Holzig will be hosting talks on current topics such as club culture within the changing cityscape, the underground and music business and GEMA politics. Wether its DJing, playing live, visuals, digital, analog or new controller models; the De:Bug Music Tech-Days will be offering three days of workshops and seminars covering the basics and details of music production. The IN-EDIT MusikFilmFestival is busy collecting Germany’s best music videos to be awarded at BerMuDa. Then there’s the additional vinyl flea market “Kuchenplatte”, Bumtschik-Fashion-Bazaar and Workshops by Noisy and justmusic.
And by BerMuDa Night, over 40 Berliner clubs and an excess of 40 international labels have coordinated an elaborate and innovative musical program – running from Brunnen70 and Chalet across Kit Kat, Tresor and Watergate, all the way to Weekend and ZMF.
The line-up of the grand BerMuDa finale FLY-Festival on 3. November 2012 is complete and booked. The world’s most favoured and famed musicians will be coming together for the third time in succession in the former Tempelhof airport halls. The two main stages will be occupied by the likes of Sven Väth, Luciano, Digitalism, Fritz Kalkbrenner (who will perform his brand-bew album with a special show), Chris Liebig, Ellen Allien, Turntablerocker, Pan-Pot, Henrik Schwarz, Magda, Marek Hemmann, Oliver Koletzki & Fran, Maceo Plex, Mathias Kaden and Tale of Us. The Beatport Stage will be rocked thoroughly by Photek, Pinch, HRDVSION, Dewalta and Clockwork, as well as the young, local newcomer, Wankelmut. He will play his first big festival – he talks about this in the exclusive FLY-BerMuDa-interview. The Klub International Stage will offer a home away from home to the residents of some of Europe’s most important night clubs. Lauhaus, Molly, Animal Trainer, Pilocka Krach, Niconé & Sascha Braemer and Luca Pilato will be the stars of our Klub International Stage.
Four days and four nights of everything connected with electronic music and culture on the radio – FLUX.FM and BLN.FM will be covering the Berlin Music Days. And for the finale, a live collaboration of both senders will report to us from the FLY-Festival.
And to then there’s the FLY-Festival double CD compilation “CITY SOUND BERLIN”, featuring tracks by many of our artists playing here this year, which will be released on the 26. October 2012.
