tim cullen & made by pete – full english rmx
Tim Cullen & Made by Pete are regular collaborators and the guys behind the Grin Recordings imprint.
If you’ve already come across their work, then you’ll likely already speak volumes of the sort of up-tempo fare that they regularly unleash. On that note, their latest is a remix package that sees them lean on the talents of some of their favourite artists, as they bring in a seriously talented crew to sprinkle some magic on their last track, Full English.
Opening up the package is the sounds of US house legend Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero, a man who known a thing or two about bringing the heat. And that’s exactly what transpires to happen on his opening salvo. As you might have gathered, his remix is a really weighty track; the sort of groovy plaything that’ll have the likes of DJ Sneak & co. weak at the knees. Barber throws the kitchen sink at his remix, and while it’s pretty mental and unpredictable, it’s also a real gem of a track. Hats off to him for trying something that bit different.
Next up is DJ PP, who works the spine of his remix around the original’s vocal line and a spate of manic overtones. Closing out the EP is the 2015 Remaster Remix, which helps to round out the package in esteemed fashion. Really enjoyable stuff once more from the Grin Recordings label.
