We are talking to Edu Imbernon, one of the hottest national DJs of the moment, about life, music and Ibiza:
Hello Edu, having you regularly in Ibiza again this year made it a logical step to include you in our roster of DJs. Tell us how you came to music.
-I grew up with music around me, my dad played piano and he taught me how to play it, then when I was 9 I started playing drums. When i was 15 I became interested in electronic music.
What was the first record you bought?
-Vitalic – La Rock 01, amazing record!
How would you define your style? Nu Disco – infected House?
I would define it as House / Techno, with many influences but always keeping it routed within House & Techno.
How do you play? Vinyl, CD, USB or via Software?
Traktor + Ipad with 4 channels has been my setup for almost 3 years, lots of possibilities playing with this setup.
Where do you get your inspiration for your productions?
Ill say, my day by day is the most important thing, my family, my friends, even the weather, everything helps!

It was 4 years ago at Delano Beach Club, it was nice as I played for all my ibiza friends and had a really good time!
Where can people listen to you this year on Ibiza?
Kehakuma, I will be performing during the whole season with them, I love the concept of the party and the line ups, It feels like home with them and they have a great ‘human’ team behind!
3 things you would change in Ibiza if you could?
Mainstream music parties, Space to open again as an afterhours and a longer summer season.
3 things you would never change?
The sunsets from Es Vedrá, my fav restaurant “Can Pilot” and the good vibe of the clubbers!
How does your perfect day look like?
The perfect day for me would have a little bit of everything, some studio time, a Paella with friends, a beautiful sunset and a gig on Space Ibiza terrace!
What do you think about dub Ibiza network?
It’s a great platform to showcase what happens in Ibiza, esspecially for all the underground events and artists! :)
