R.I.P. Nito Sa Trinxa
Nito Cardona was always a visionary, a person that saw things before they appeared, before they even existed.
That is for sure one of the reasons he started Sa Trinxa (originally called Sa Trincha) so many years ago as a ‘real’ Chiringuito on the beach of Salinas. Real Chiringuito by law means that you have to deinstall evertything except the water tube and, if there is, the electricity connection, all the rest must be taken away to not have any lasting impact on the beach you build it on temporarily.
Today Sa Trinxa is way more than this, his brother Guillermo and the great team they built around them maintains what is so rare to find on this island today – an honest business to offer people something truly unique for a correct price. Read more about Sa Trinxa here.
Nito was the ‘chief’ of Sa Trinxa for many many years, always with a smile on his face, treating everybody equally, no matter where you came from oer what you did, as long as you were honest. He loved life every day and lived it to the max wherever he could, one could say he lived a few lives in the given timespan. Knowing that how he lived life it could not last forever was no reason for him to not celebrate it in so many ways and colours, and this enthusiasm was truly contageous – wherever one saw him he made you smile, forgetting for a while whatever it was that made you forget about the gift of life in every moment. We will miss you dear friend, but knowing the company you got up there in paradise we know that you now finally do whatever you wanted to do, live eternally as a free spirit, in a higher state of consciousness, as a divine existence. R.I.P. Nito – see you on the other side.
Always in our hearts.
Jon Sa Trinxa recorded a set in Sa Trinxa a few days before Nito died and dedicated it to him, you can listen to it here.
