Hey Andy, so pleased to meet u again, well yes indeed we know each other already quiet along time, and suddenly you ask me to do this interview, of course I couldn’t resist!
How long are you on the island?
At December the 13th 2012 (it was a Friday…) it was 14 years, lucky years with all kind of experiences, very deep and very intense experiences, those ones who make you more conscious of how lucky we are living on the island!
Why did you come here?
For many reasons, first of all because my father lived here already a couple of years and he made me curious whilst telling me about Ibiza, so I finally had to come over to sort out for myself what it is what makes Ibiza so magic. And the other reason is that I was already into interior design in Greece where I was living at that time, so after 5 years in Greece I wanted to develop my knowledge about style, fashion, art and design, so I thought Ibiza would be the right place, and I was not mistaken!
What was your first job here?
Ha ha ha, wonderful question… I love to remember that one, renovating and decorating the “Kiss” club in Playa d’en Bossa – i had a really good time working with two other artists together to renovate the entire club for almost 4 months until we left it with a quite “good” result.
We met through music and it is still a hobby of yours but you are now working in interior design, how did that come?
As I mentioned in the beginning, I did this job already for many years in Greece and Germany and from time to time you get bored doing the same job, so as I was already experienced in doing the DJ and I needed to switch. And that was the time we met, and as we never had time to really talk to each other we missed out that little detail, now I am back into the interiors since 6 years, and more than ever before, I won’t get bored again because my mind developed and I know now the variety and wide range of interiors, I left the DJing to people who know better and am focusing on what I am good in. As u know, less is more and for me it was time to focus on one job, which is and always was my passion… Interior Design.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Another perfect question… from MOTHER NATURE of course!
What are your preferred materials?
Wood, stone, metal and glass, sometimes as well acrylic glass!
Do you work ‘only’ in Ibiza or as well abroad?
I am fortunate to tell you that I got my clients all over Europe, which means they call me from any place to get advice and any kind of consulting about materia, type, style, proportions, planning, colors, shopping and calculation – all that which is part of Interior Design.
How does your perfect day look like?
Living on Ibiza, having the clients who I got and working where I work in… I am living a perfect day every day and I am conscious enough to appreciate it.
What would you change in Ibiza if you had a magic wand?
This is quite a difficult question, I am not into politics, I am not into economy and I am not into marketing, if I would be I wouldn’t last for long. So all I would like to change I do change in my environment with my closest people, in my job with my clients and their interiors and in the nature I am surrounded by.
P.S.: I feel honored to be on your network and hope we see each other soon again, as I love to say – STAY TOUGH + ALWAYS BE CREATIVE!
I can only agree to this.
