Josh Hussaney – Forever changing

The Manchester-based DJ and producer, Josh Hussaney, gives us an insight into his psychic record bag

Your all-time favourite club track?

My All-time favourite club track has to be The Prodigy – ‘’Wind it Up’’. I remember hearing this tune on an old tape when I was about 11 years of age and i was forever rewinding the tape and listening to it over and over again absolutely love the breakbeats, the Rave Synths, the piano riff & the cheeky little vocal.

The track youve finished a set with the most often?

To be honest, I’m forever changing my sets so it’s very rare I finish on the same track over and over, but the one I would say I’ve finished on most is probably Darius Syrossian’s ‘’Another 5 Hours’’. I love the vibe on this track.

The track you cleared the floor with (what happened when?)

There was one time in Mint Warehouse when the room seemed to empty after dropping B02 – ‘’Nectar (Tom Budden Remix)’’. I think this was purely coincidence though as it’s a great tune that in the past has normally gone off well.

The track you rescued a floor with?

In regards to rescuing/filling a dance floor I would have to say the track I’ve been using recently to do this has to be Majesty – ‘’Ghetto Blaster’’. It’s a killer track which always gets people moving.

The cheesiest/ guiltiest secret track you love?

Well this will probably end my career but I have to say there’s an EDM tune I’ve always loved by Porter Robinson called ‘’Language’’. It brings back some memories from the first time I visited Ibiza.

The track that everyone else loved that you hated?

Everyone seemed to love that Hannah Wants – ‘’Rhymes’’ track. When it came out I was never very keen on it and it drives me insane every time I hear it on the radio. No offence to Hannah – she’s quality – it’s just that one track really doesn’t do it for me.

The track that you loved that everyone hated?

There’s a track called System Overload by Ciszak I absolutely love and always play it. But loads of people I show it to don’t seem to like it. I’m not quite sure why as it’s an absolute banger of a track.

Anything youd like plugging?

I’ve got a couple releases due out soon such as Come on Down on Foreign Language and a remix of Martha Wash’s ‘’Catch the Light 2015’’ which you should watch out for too.
