IPF 10 years anniversary
Ibiza Preservation Foundation (IPF) celebrates 10th anniversary on 22nd August.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ibiza Preservation Foundation (previously the Ibiza Preservation Fund), an exclusive event will be held on 22nd August at Finca Los Olivos. Presented by Deliciously Sorted, it will be an evening of fine food, drinks and dancing with a very Spanish flavour.
The IPF has been operating on Ibiza and Formentera since 2008. Over the past 10 years, the IPF has raised more than €1 million in funds and supported 40 environmental projects that preserve the land and sea. Most notably, the IPF established and funded Alianza Mar Blava in 2013 to stop oil and gas prospecting off the coast of Ibiza.
“We’re excited to host this event to celebrate the many great achievements of the IPF,” says Serena Cook, IPF cofounder and founder of Deliciously Sorted. “I am incredibly proud of what has been accomplished with our partners to preserve the islands we love and give something back. A massive thank you to artists Paco Fernández and Blond:ish for joining us, and all our event sponsors, especially Absolut Elyx, John Frieda and Ibizkus, for their generous contributions.”

“As well celebrating the IPF’s successes, the event will also be an opportunity to showcase our key projects going forward, in particular Ibiza Produce,” says Sandra Benbeniste, the IPF’s director. “Our focus over the next few years will be on championing local produce, greater protection for posidonia, a sustainability study and leading a movement to make Ibiza and Formentera free of single-use plastics.”
Money raised on the night will support these projects.
Ticket prices are €50 for residents and €95 for non-residents, and include:
• ‘Balearic Flamenco’ show by Ibiza legend Paco Fernández
• Exclusive performance by Ibiza lovers and legendary DJs Blond:ish
• Drinks sponsored by Pernod Ricard with Absolut, Absolut Elyx, Avión tequila, G.H.Mumm and Havana Club
• Paella and BBQ catered by La Grande Bouffe with locally-sourced organic produce
• Reception and opportunity to meet IPF cofounders, Patronato, council and leaders.
• Tickets can be purchased at b.splash here and numbers are limited.
About the IPF
The Ibiza Preservation Foundation (previously the Ibiza Preservation Fund) was born in 2008 out of concern for the unsustainable development of Ibiza and Formentera. Over the past 10 years, the IPF has contributed to stopping four oil and gas projects in the Mediterranean Sea, championed greater protection for Posidonia meadows, supported the conservation of almond groves and the promotion of local produce. The IPF raises money from people all over the world who care about the islands’ future. Funds are used to support the best environmental projects that protect, preserve and restore the land and sea and promote sustainability.
