FLEA MARKET SANT JORDI

Finally summer’s craze is over and we are entering winter mode – as there are only two seasons here we always change from winter- to summer mode and vice versa.

That means the days get shorter, we can finally sleep with more than a blanket and the few parties that are held are of the best you have seen in a long time. Very soon we will light the chimney, make some heavy stews and gather together in private to have long conversations about life and all that comes with it.

But there are a few things that mark the off-season and one of those is the Flea Market of Sant Jordi. It is open the whole year round every saturday from early morning to around 14h but it is during the off-season where you really get to meet the whole crowd.

And you can find anything imaginable for a very reasonable price, dealing is welcome and if you got stuff at home you do not use or are in need of some extra money then go sell your stuff there.

Make sure you come early if you want to sell, stands are limited and you need to run and fight for them. Price is four Euros for two m2, a very reasonable price. You won’t become rich on one day but you will have fun, some money in your pocket and more space at home. And the best thing is there is space available, not like in the Hippie Markets like Las Dalias or Es Canar where space is limited and prices are very high.

Usually one tour takes about 1 hour as there is so much to see and inspect that it becomes very difficult to rush through it. As you can see in the pictures there is nothing that is not sold in Sant Jordi. So next saturday there is no excuse, if the weather is good then take your time, there is a big bar as well with very reasonable prices, this is the real Ibiza.

The Flea Market of Sant Jordi is located at the end of Sant Jordi, take the highway to the airport and leave it at the sign ‘Salinas’, then take a sharp right and you will see the market already in front of you. There is lots of parking space, just remember where you parked your car…
