A spark of inspiration

We are sitting together with Guadalupe Revuelta, head honcho of Ladypress, a communication agency in Ibiza, and a relevant figure in Ibiza’s cultural life.

How did Ladypress come to life?

Lady Press Agency was born out of a casualty in 2006. My friend Albert Ribas, Ibiçenco and one of the great cultural ambassadors we have in Spain, invited me to take over the communication of a big exhibition about Baroc that he organized in the ‘Palacio Real de Madrid’ in collaboration with the ‘Museo Capodimonte’ from Naples. At this time i was in charge of the cultural section of the newspaper El Mundo in Ibiza, and i took the challenge. After that more clients and projects came along, until today.

Where does the name come from?

To be honest i don’t know. I guess from a spark of inspiration that i liked and that identifies me.

What is the aim of the agency?

To inform the right people of the projects that i am invited to collaborate with and can identify myself with in any case. Communicating ideas with poetry and love, aspirations and the work of professional people going their own way to realize interesting projects that on the way convert themselves in my projects as well.

What services do you offer?

Editorial services and communication, depending on the client and his needs. From a blog to a magazine or a whole communication plan with the adecuate tools for each case: newsletters, editorial notes, relation with other media…

If you don’t work, where can people find you?

On the beach, probably Es Cavallet, sipping Chardonnay in the Union Bar on the Plaça del Parque, dining somewhere, always in good company, sundays in We Love which for me is the best party in Ibiza, with my friends in Sushiya and in any shop where you can find a good pair of shoes in their display.

How do you see Ibiza this year?

In my opinion there is way too much leisure offered and too many trees make it difficult to see the forest, which is without a doubt still beautiful and interesting. I think that the island, apart from the overbooking, still holds fabulous leisure projects of all kind, and everybody can find what he wants in Ibiza.

The best and worst of the island?

In my opinion Ibiza has nothing bad. Bearing in mind that the island is kind of non confirmist i miss a cultural programation of a bigger dimension. It is a shame that the Van der Voort Gallery left the island and that this space has not been refilled yet.

Your perfect day?

Anyone, either working or going out in professional company with honest and authentic people. Like we say in Andalucia, where i come from there is good people.

What do you think about dub Ibiza network?

In my opinion dub Ibiza is a magazine with a truly defined personality of what all of us here should be very proud of. A magazine that is like no other, without collecting sensationalist content from other sources. A personal project without the aim of fishing for compliments or supporting cheap collectiveness. A magazine that invites to reflect and showcases something so serious and important that is or should be music.
