It was simply incredible – yesterday the impact was overwhelming as you can see on the pictures and we can only say THANK YOU to all the numberless people (more than 15.000!) who attended, helped voluntarily and made all this possible, special thanks to Eivissadiuno & Eivissa Antipetrolífera and the group of voluntaries for their unconditional effort. The Vara de Rey was flooded by people and when all started walking down the Harbour alley it was breathtaking to see so many people standing for the same cause. At the end of this article you find a link to a panoramic view by airbiza – check it out to get the full picture – amazing!
According to unofficial sources 56.000 signatures got collected only in Ibiza – that means more than 30% of the overall population signed, and abroad from Ibiza there are more than 35.000 collected – which sums up to 100.000 signatures!
As this is an official petition we have outnumbered the necessary amount of signatures by more than 200% – now let’s see what our politicians will say to that – lots of them already joined our cause, now it is up to the responsible ones to put an end to this frenzy and admit that the only way into a bright future is supporting renewable energies to preserve the treasure we have got in our hands for future generations and save our main source of income – tourism.
