DANNY WHITTLE EMERGES POST-PACHA TO FORM GLOBAL ELECTRONIC MUSIC COMPANY, “IBZ ENTERTAINMENT” 

[NEW YORK – IBIZA, SPAIN] MAY 9, 2013.    Electronic Music visionary, Danny Whittle, backed by partner, Y Entertainment Group LLC, today announced the birth of IBZ ENTERTAINMENT LLC, to be headed by Whittle as Chairman.

IBZ ENTERTAINMENT, based on the island of Ibiza, the center of the worldwide electronic music movement, will manage and book EDM stars and developing talent and operate a global talent “programming” and talent “buying” service for leading clubs, festivals and events throughout the world.

Until last fall, Danny Whittle served for over twelve years as the “brand director” of Pacha, promoting, booking and “programming” shows and events for famed Pacha Ibiza and working with Pacha nightclubs around the world. Whittle was instrumental in creating the Pacha Recordings record label and magazine. He is a founding partner of IMS, the annual International Music Summit business conference and will continue to be actively involved in IMS going forward.

Under Whittle, Pacha experienced exponential growth and became one of the leading lights of the worldwide electronic music movement and incubator for the careers of some of the biggest stars of the international EDM galaxy.

Danny Whittle will share the helm of the new company with his longtime associate, Mark Netto. Mark is a veteran of Pacha too and has spent almost 20 years working in the Electronic scene. He was responsible for setting up the management and touring department at Pacha and has produced club shows on every continent. Netto is also a co-founder of IMS. “Ibiza will always remain the center of the dance music universe. Now with our new partners, we have the opportunity to build solid bridges to the USA and the rest of the world”, commented Mark.

The company’s talent buying and programming service is a natural for Whittle and Netto. “This is what we have done so successfully for Pacha, and many other clubs and events throughout the world”, said Danny Whittle. The company’s goal is to provide the service to a major club and festival in each of the top 25-30 nightlife capitals of the world and to help develop the resident DJ’s and concept events for client clubs.

The talent will come both from within and outside IBZ ENTERTAINMENT. Netto said, “We have access to both star DJ’s and their representatives and to discover the most interesting developing talent coming from the Ibiza scene and worldwide. This puts us in a great position to assist club operators to achieve a balanced talent budget by mixing top level EDM stars with up and coming talent. We look forward to working closely with artists, managers, club operators and the top talent agents throughout the world”.

Danny, Mark and their team will operate from a unique space in Ibiza, currently under construction and scheduled to open in late May. The building, called “Ibiza Music Factory” will serve as the company’s headquarters, and in addition, be a kind of co-op creative workshop the company will share with top DJ’S, club bookers, managers and other creative forces within EDM and other entertainment sectors.
